The following is a message from John Grondona of Softball San Diego…

Since 1970, I’ve had the opportunity to play with some of the best and most fun-loving softball players in the world, plus some of the greatest sponsors for the myriad of teams that I have been a part of. I’ve organized the Bob Barlow Memorial Tournament, been President of the San Diego County Softball Umpires Association, and manager of many teams including, Men’s, Women’s and Coed teams. I’ve been the Volunteer Treasurer of the Mira Mesa Recreation Council for many years, and have helped with the many activities of the Council for years. Last but not least, I’ve been a Volunteer member of the Friends of Parks and Recreation.

My journey spans close to 50 years, and for that I am grateful. I have no words other then “THANK YOU” to all who’ve touched me and the programs and teams that I’ve had the pleasure to be a part of.

That being said, I’ve decided to resign from all softball activities. I have nothing but the best of feelings and appreciation to all of you who have shared and contributed to this journey.

My best to all of you always.

John Grondona
